“If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.” I am a passionate lover of golf and its industry, and a graduate of Penn State University where I studied turfgrass science. Ever since I was young, I enjoyed being outdoors and taking care of the grass and different sports fields. I spent weekends setting up the baseball fields with our local baseball league and even had my own landscaping business in my neighborhood.
As a resident of West Chester, Pennsylvania, I started playing golf at Concord Country Club and became fascinated with the designs of the different courses and the science behind turfgrass, and that was when my two passions collided. I learned about the turfgrass industry and knew Penn State was well-known for this program, so I set my sights on attending there to learn everything I would need to become a head superintendent of a golf course.
Many say that grass doesn’t grow under my feet since I always like to keep busy. Over the past several years, I have work at many different marquee level golf courses throughout the entire country spanning from the east coast to west coast. I also volunteered and hosted numerous PGA tournament’s at many outstanding golf courses. I am dedicated to perfect my craft by working countless hours. I am currently in an assistant role at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, PA.
I am a very organized and hard-working person with a strong work ethic. My past experiences have given me the opportunity to learn much about the turfgrass industry and to gain great hands-on experience as well as managerial experience. Some of my hobbies involve playing golf, barbering, and officiating baseball games. Other organizations I am a member of are the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and GCSAA.
I take pride in what I do and would love the opportunity to show you what I can do and to have the chance to do what I love. I strive to obtain my goal of some day becoming a superintendent at a top-100 golf course.
